The Gingerman is a mix
between a sports bar and trendy bistro. Although it can be very busy at dinner
time on weekend night the crowd drops off fairly quickly and the restaurant
quite atmosphere. The establishment is well known for serving Granville Island
Pale Ale which the owners brought from the west coast. My companion order the
Mahi Mahi and I order the house burger. The Mahi Mahi was disappointed. It was
dry and over cooked. In comparison my burger was juicy and delicious. So for
drink we had a bottle of Cono Sur Pinot Noir which went well with both our
meals. It is a little pricey considering the hit and miss quality of your food.
Try to go during the non peak times and order what appears to be the freshest
ingredients on the menu.
